Ingredients :
- 50 g of white bread
- 0.5 dl of milk
- 2 onions
- 1 clove of garlic
- 1 tablespoon of butter
- 800 g of minced beef and pork
- 1 egg
- 1 teaspoon of salt
- pepper
- 16 slices of bacon to roast
Recipe :
- Preheat the oven to 220°C
- Roughly chop the bread, mix in a large bowl with the milk. To book.
- Peel the onions and garlic, chop finely. Melt the butter in a pan. Brown the onion and garlic for about 5 minutes, let cool a little and mix with the bread.
- Add the meat, egg and salt. Knead by hand until you obtain a compact and homogeneous mass. Shape into a loaf about 25 cm long.
- Arrange the slices of bacon on a baking sheet lined with baking paper, overlapping them slightly. Place the meatloaf on top and fold the bacon slices on either side. Turn the preparation over, putting the solder underneath.
- Bake for about 40 minutes in the lower half of the oven.
Variants :
- Add herbs and spices to enhance the flavor of the meat.
- Add pieces of cheese for more deliciousness.
- Add julienned tomatoes to make the meat less dry.
